This 6-hour CMTE Workshop will explore your natural integration of thought in motion through movement, play, restorative lying down, and discussion.
As an MT-BC, we are also leading therapy, session planning, data collecting, managing clients, organizing instruments, etc. This can lead to overstimulation, tension, and work hazards. Our energy is highly focused on our clients—how frequently do we reconnect with ourselves?
We will explore how to move and poise freely, find natural and free breath, how to lessen compression, to find expression and expansion.
We will explore playing the guitar, piano, and voice. We will apply the technique to daily living and working as a therapist.
I invite you to come explore how doing less can lead to so much more! Leave poised and powerful, and allow joy and ease to flow while leading your sessions!
This 2-hour recorded CMTE Workshop will specifically explore to move, breathe, and embody the most enlivened and relaxed playing you can!
It is one thing to play with Ease, but when we have to work with clients, be thrown into tight nooks and crannies, put in uncomfortable positions, and scrambling to find those visuals, chords, and speaker; it becomes so overwhelming.
How can we make a part of the process simpler? Most MT-BC’s I know will complain of back pain, carpal-tunnel syndrome, constant migraines, among others. What if there is a world you can play with Ease and without effort! How much more present and full of joy could your sessions be if you played without pain/discomfort?
In this workshop, we will look directly how to change ergonomics and thinking to support the most free guitar playing, piano playing, percussion playing, and whatever instrument you desire to find poise and power!

About the Alexander Technique
